*Please note we have these on order from Haridas Vhatkar and will update the anticipated arrival date as soon as possible.
Haridas Vhatkar's tablas have been the choice of such tabla maestros as Zakirji, Anindoji and many more. He is one of the finest maker of tablas. Haridas along with his sons make tablas in Mumbai (Bombay). Every drum he makes is of great quality and sound. With just one stroke on the tabla you understand the sustain from the drum and you would say "Kya baat hai". The #1 tabla is made with the best wood available (generally Bija Saag wood). The baya is made of copper and is heavy.
Along with the tabla and the baya we give a padded bag, set of rings and covers, a deluxe hammer and a tabla bag. Every drum is thoroughly checked before being dispatched since these drums are very expensive.
Tabla pulling or making requires a lot of physical energy and we salute everyone involved in continuing this tradition. Please note each item is handmade. Photographs and videos are for representation purposes and the designs/colors can vary.

The tabla set is made well. I asked for C# tuning but got C tuning instead but that is okay. There was a slight delay in shipping but the music shop made up for it by upgrading the shipping to 2 day from their end. The instrument arrived earlier than expected. No damage was done to the instrument. It sounds better than expected. The customer service was excellent via telephone and the chat service on the website.

Haridasji's tablas are legendary. He has thought deeply about the tabla making craftsmanship and he brings all of that research and passion to making some of the finest tablas one can own. In addition, it is a sheer pleasure to work with the team at Musician's Mall. The service they provide is absolutely impeccable. Overall, a great experience buying and using the instrument.

Though Musician's Mall had given me an estimated time of 3 months for delivery. My Tabla arrived with 1 n half months. Love the service. Will surely recommend more people.

Authentic Vhatkar made in bombay, received in pristine condition. I was especially surprised at how well it was tuned, sound wise. It'll take a little time for the tabla surface to mature but have already pulled off some great pieces on this. Best buy I've made !

Very satisfied with this purchase. The set arrived within 5 days from ordering. The packaging was great, the Tabla set came in this handy case, which was wrapped in several layers of bubble-wrap. It was in perfect condition as I took it out, not even out of tune. The Tabla set itself is high quality, and I expect to use it for a long time. I know that the set was well set up since I am a tabla teacher.
