  I been in contact asking for a fiberglass case for my double toomba sitar. Called and out and order in online and drove from SD to come pick up. The case is exceptionally beautiful! Very strong case, has a nice matching red soft furry interior. The locks are butterfly style and hold real nice. A huge upgrade from my coffin case I had. They had suggested I get a single case and get a separate toomba case and which I did. Better protection and on the sitar. I had also came in to get my sitar cleaned up and restrung with new strings and clean up the frets. It came out beautiful! Like a whole new sitar I can’t believe it. Excellent service, fast and reliable! Def recommended!

  Definitely a 'deluxe' model case with the heavy duty latches -2 that you can padlock and 2 combination locks. On top of that, it's mobile -has little wheels at the bottom and a pull handle at the top -as good as the finest piece of travel luggage you can find! Very happy with this purchase!

  Incredibly durable case. It fits the Sitar like glove. It has three straps and four latches to secure the lid. I am very pleased with it. I think it will sustain airline abuse quite well!

  Case received with good staff follow up. Well packed with zero damage. I've been handling sitars and cases like this for too many years. This particular case is the best of its type I've seen to date. Very solid with good hinges, solid brass latches and three nylon lock straps. Well padded inside with extra padding along the tabli (sound board). Good clearance for the top two main pegs and the stronger preferred raised body section for those two pegs. Very pleased with this case. I recommend it without hesitation and expect to order more later this year. Cheers! Tony Karasek

  This is an excellent case, worth much more than it's price! The hardware is sturdy and the latches line up well. In addition there are straps with plastic clasps as back-ups. No way thing is accidentally coming open! My sitar fit perfectly. I would recommend that you contact the store for case dimensions and measure your sitar carefully before ordering. Shipping for this very expensive, so you don't want to have to send it back!

  This is a great case! It is made by D.K. Das & Sons based in Kolkata. The built is very solid. The case may be placed on either vertical or in two horizontal positions, the latter either on a side or face up (to remove or place in the sitar). The unpolished brass top handle adds quite some character. The main handle is placed on the side, with several rubber flaps on the down side of it to prevent from slipping. The case may be locked with 4 latches -- 2 of them having a code lock (polished brass), while the other 2 allowing for a standard lock (unpolished brass). In addition to the locks, the guitar has 3 straps with clips. The multitude of locks and straps attest to the instrument's fragility. Along the lining that joins the top face to the bottom face of the case, there is a nice decorative black and brass square pattern ribbon. Along the edge of the bottom shell on the inside (where it joins the top shell) there is a antimacassar style decorative ribbon. The inside of the case consists of heavy padding dyed in turmeric (in my case.) I would assume that there are variations in colors (but I surely love turmeric). There is also a bottom compartment that may be used to store strings, mizrabs, extra beads, even wire cutting pliers (i.e all the tools needed to change strings and adjust if needed the pegs). Overall this case shows great workmanship at the same level if not beyond the "Mada in Canada" Gibson Les Paul cases.
