I bought one of these beautiful rosewood tabla's tuned to a high E (5 1/4). Sound is excellent, sustain is 6-7 seconds, clear and true to pitch. Also sounds really good when played through a mic. People at musicians mall were very helpful throughout the process sending pictures and videos before I made my decision. Pleasure to have done business with them :) Would definitely recommend to more advanced players, especially those playing through a mic!

This rosewood tabla is too good. It sustains for like 8 seconds and awesome to play. I use it only for my studio recordings.

I have been playing the tabla since many years. I have not bought the tabla from the CAL store but their India store. They were very courteous while attending to me. Love the ambience of their store in Mumbai. Great work.

The best tabla I've ever had

This tabla is incredible, It sounds amazing. The sustain is 10 seconds and it is really bright. The rosewood shell makes it heavy and beautiful. The store tuned it to "D" and it arrived at my house at "D'. Awesome stuff
