Description

The Clapbox CB8 is a full-size cajon built for players who want a real instrument rather than a practice box. The body is solid wood, so the bass note comes out round and deep instead of boxy, and the front plate is tuned to give you a crisp slap right at the top edge.

Inside are three adjustable snare assemblies. Back them off and the CB8 plays like a clean bass-and-slap cajon for acoustic sets; wind them in and you get the dry, buzzing crack that flamenco and world-percussion players live on. Each one sets independently, so the buzz can sit on one side of the plate and stay out of the way on the other.

The top is sized and finished to sit on for a full set, and the whole instrument is light enough to carry to a gig in one hand. This is the blue finish, with a flowing graphic artwork across the front plate.
