Bowed Instruments
Bowed instruments have long had a place in India’s music. Common in folk playing, they have more recently been taken up for classical vocal accompaniment and as solo classical instruments in their own right.
We carry three kinds — esraj, dilruba and sarangi — from several makers, including Kanai Lal & Sons. Each comes with a bow and a case.
