Surpetis
The surpeti, or shruti box, is a drone instrument — a reed box, a simpler relative of the harmonium, with bellows and no keyboard. Small and portable, it holds a steady drone behind voice, flute, violin or any stringed instrument.
Ours come in two and three octave ranges, tuned to A440 or A432, in mango and all-teak bodies. Every surpeti is tuned and vetted before sale.
