Surbahars
The surbahar, sometimes called a bass sitar, is the sitar’s larger sibling. It is usually tuned two or three pitches below the sitar, and is known for its resonance, its long slides and its sustain.
Each surbahar we sell is inspected and set up here: restrung, frets polished and adjusted, pegs fine-fit and chalked, and tuned before it ships.
