Top quality product, high markup, not great packaging

    Reviewed on Oct 02, 2018

These strings are the real deal, high quality Rosalau steel wire. The price is a pretty high mark up from what you get in India (makes sense, trying to run a business). That said, they should at least come packaged nicely. Most recent order came only in a paper sleeve for a CD with twist ties wrapped around it. Usually, a coil of steel string like this would be packaged in a plastic sleeve inside of a wax paper bag, that is then inside a ziplock. This protects the string from rust while you're storing it. I understand the mark up but please package it nicely so that the coil will keep from rusting while we are storing it.

    Excellent service!

The order was processed and sent perfectly! It arrived in time for me. The only thing that would make it better is an actual spool for the spool of wire as I made a mess of the whope thing while trying to insert it into my instrument.

Great strings from a great company

    Reviewed on Jan 19, 2018

These strings are great and I was able to restring all my sympathetic strings with enough string left for more. At first my strings did not ship, but when I brought this to Musician’s Mall’s attention, they quickly offered another set of coil and first class shipping. Very good company, and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to buy Indian classical instruments.

    Very Durable Strings

    Reviewed on May 24, 2017

I like ordering from here! They know the Sitar business through and through! I have purchased 2 Hiren Roy Sitars and one Hemen Sitar in the last 15 years from here. I think my Hemen is my favorite! Very Ravi Shankar Sounding. And the strings are very durable. Some of the sympathetic strings have been on my sitars for 5 years!!! And they still resonate beautifully. Buy your sitar strings here, you wont regret it! Very helpful staff also.
