A kharaj/pancham (Ravi Shankar style) portable sitar with a very full sound. The lower "gourd" is made of wood yet provides excellent resonance and depth. Mechanical tuners for the main strings are becoming more and more popular for good reason, as they are a fast reliable method of fine tuning.
