    Sita Student #1

Ok I purchased for a gift the #1 student sitar, it came very well packed, opened it up and it was in good shape. It looked great. I am not a sitar player but it does look well constructed. Recently I was in India and thought of buying one there but with extra baggage and god knows the handlers what would happen. MM so far has good customer service, they answered a question I had pretty fast. Overall 5 star and I am sure when we start to learn to play we will be happy with sound.

I heard the sitar being played and had to buy a sitar to try it out. I located a teacher to teach me over Skype. She recommended me to buy a sitar and hence started my search. I saw a video of the #3 sitar and the store told me that the #1 sounded better too along with the cosmetics. For a $100 more I got a better instrument and it sounds nice. I have been learning now for about 6 weeks. I have learnt so much.

This sitar is heavy. It sounds excellent though. For $600 it sounds really good. Cheers!!!
