Sitar Fret Tie

Take an appropriate amount of fret tying string. Make your first loop 6-8 inches from the end. |

Take the long end of the string and loop it over the first loop, making a smaller loop that will hook over the fret. |

Hook the smaller loop over the fret, keeping the first loop intact. Pull the thread back and forth 6 times (3 times on each side) keeping it as tight as possible. |

Gently pull the last end under the fret, and stick the end of the thread thru the loop. Pull the two ends tight and tie it off with several half hitches. Cut of excess thread. |
