This is a small two headed drum commonly associated with Shiva. There is a small striker tied onto the drum with a short piece of rope. You hold the drum in one hand and shake it and the striker goes back and forth, hitting each head in succession. 

This model is 4 inches tall, with 3 inch heads. Sometimes larger sizes are available. Please enquire.
